Talunza Market is being designed so buyers can browse without an account and sellers choose which contact information is made public.

Search demand

During the pilot, search terms, locality/category filters and result counts may be recorded to understand unmet demand. The V1 search event deliberately does not attach buyer account, IP, device or session identity.

Nearby search

GPS is optional. Talunza asks for browser location only after you choose “Use my location”. The raw coordinates are sent in the nearby-search request, not placed in the page URL, and are not stored in the V1 Market search-demand event. Ordinary locality search works without GPS.

Seller and offer location

Sellers can publish a broad locality without a precise pin. A precise shop or pickup point is public only when the seller explicitly marks that offer location as exact. Private/approximate coordinates can be used to calculate distance without exposing the underlying point.

Seller information

Seller details intended for public listings must be provided with explicit publication consent. Private identity or verification evidence should not be exposed as listing content.

A complete privacy notice, retention policy, deletion/access workflow and Zimbabwe-specific legal review remain release gates. This pilot notice is not the final production privacy policy.
